SMS Program Description
HART Anesthesia Solutions may send text messages to anesthesia professionals who personally opt in to receive PRN shift text notifications through HART.
HART text messages may include:
- SMS verification codes used to confirm a mobile phone number
- PRN shift notifications sent on behalf of a facility
- Response links or reply-code instructions for available PRN shifts
- Response confirmations, opt-out confirmations, and help messages
- Other service-related messages connected to the PRN notification workflow
HART PRN text messages are service-related notifications. They are not marketing or promotional text messages.
How PRN SMS Opt-In Works
A facility user may add a PRN contact to the facility's HART PRN contact list, but that does not automatically enroll the contact in SMS alerts.
To receive PRN shift text notifications through HART, the contact must personally complete the HART opt-in process:
- The facility sends the PRN contact an opt-in invitation by email.
- The email links to a HART opt-in page specific to that contact.
- On the opt-in page, the contact can review or update their name, email address, and mobile phone number.
- The SMS checkbox is optional and is not pre-selected. The contact must affirmatively select SMS notifications to receive PRN shift text alerts.
- The page explains that message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and the contact may opt out of PRN texts by replying STOP.
- After selecting SMS notifications, the contact must verify the mobile phone number by receiving an SMS verification code and entering that code on the HART opt-in page.
HART only enables PRN SMS alerts after the contact has both affirmatively opted in and verified the mobile phone number.
Important SMS Disclosures
Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on facility PRN shift activity, the contact's notification preferences, and available PRN shift opportunities. Some contacts may receive multiple messages in a day or week, while others may receive messages less often.
Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to SMS communications from HART.
Consent Not Required: Consent to receive text messages is not required to use email notifications or to contact HART.
How to Respond to PRN Shift Texts
PRN shift text messages may include a reply code and/or a response link. A typical message may ask the contact to reply with a yes or no response and the code included in the message.
Example response formats:
- Y 2471 to indicate availability
- N 2471 to indicate not available
How to Opt Out or Get Help
To Opt Out: Reply STOP to a HART text message to stop PRN text alerts.
After you reply STOP, you may receive one final confirmation message. STOP disables PRN SMS alerts. If email alerts are separately enabled, replying STOP to a text message does not automatically disable those email alerts.

Privacy and Mobile Number Use
HART uses mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information only to provide the text messaging services requested by the user or PRN contact.
HART does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
HART may share mobile phone numbers and related messaging data with service providers that help deliver text messages and support the HART platform, such as messaging platforms and carriers. These service providers may use the information only to provide services to HART and not for their own marketing.

Supported Carriers and Delivery
HART SMS notifications are supported by major U.S. mobile carriers. Message delivery is subject to mobile carrier network availability, device availability, and other conditions outside of HART's control. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Who Sends Messages
Text messages are sent by HART Anesthesia Solutions from phone numbers owned or controlled by HART and/or through HART's authorized messaging service providers. HART text messages are intended to identify HART as the sender.
